This was me when I started this blog:

I have a confession to make. 

I am a fangirl.

And I love it!  For those who know me this isn’t a surprise.  But I needed to “say” it out loud – at least this once.  (For those of you not in the know, I found one of the best fangirl definitions at Pink Raygun.  Click here to check out their “Top Ten Signs You Might Be a Fangirl” to see if you or someone you know may also be a fangirl). 

 In the simplest terms with the most convenient definitions*, my daily life consists of:

• Buffy the Vampire Slayer
• Veronica Mars
• Bones
• Strangers in Paradise (sniff, sniff)
• the Sandman
• Neil Gaiman
• Music (mostly that with a hand clap, call out or a good old-fashioned Oi, Oi, Oi!)
• Movies (particularly of the teen persuasion)
• More Comic Books
• Queer as Folk
• More TV
• Hockey
• Scrapbooking
• Photography

(Note to my family:  Don’t feel left out.  You know you’re number one – that goes without saying.)

* – Another sure sign you may be a fangirl/boy?  You recognized the movie line.

Kinda ecclectic, I know.  Lately I’ve been growing into my role as a fangirl again and realizing that I just need to run with it.  Whatever the obsession-o-the-week may be, it all works in the end!  It makes me who I am, it makes me happy, and it’s makes my cubicle one of the most interesting in the office.

 So I’m here for an outlet.  If I don’t dust off the webmistress in me and create a place to vent and obsess I’m afraid my inner sixteen-year-old is going to come out Alien-style.  That, and my family’s starting to flinch every time I mention the words “movie” or “TV”.

…and I think most of it is still true.  The list of TV has gotten longer and I’ve started getting into jewelry and crocheting on top of the other creative interests I have.  I still have a hard time containing myself when my favorite show is coming on, or when I watch a movie that I absolutely love.  I’ve found a whole slew of authors that I LOVE reading now.  In my regular life things have been up and down but when I stop to think about it I can honestly say that life is REALLY, really good right now.
